BUILDING A LEGACY, SINCE 1984.
The original sport sandal emerged from the shores of the Grand Canyon back in 1984. Born out of necessity to prevent sandals from floating downstream, a resourceful river guide strapped two Velcro watchbands to a pair of old flip-flops.
In the years following, Teva has retained the same pioneering spirit and continues to celebrate the freedom to explore.

Quick-dry webbing made from recycled plastic using traceable, verifiable REPREVE polyester yarn by Unifi supports your foot and stands up to abuse
Adjustable Fit
Easy hook-and-loop closure comes on and off quickly and gets the fit just right
All-day Comfort
A cushioned Shoc Pad in the heel absorbs impact where you need it most. An added contoured EVA midsole gives you added arch support
Support and Traction
Nylon shank stabilizes and supports your foot on uneven terrain. Rugged Spider Rubber outsole, designed to work in wet conditions, is extremely durable and supplies great traction
LESS PLASTIC, MORE FREEDOM
Starting in 2020, 100% of our iconic straps are now made using traceable, verifiable recycled plastic. That’s over 9 million plastic bottles kept out of landfills and put to better use strapping sandals to your feet. In addition to our recycled straps, we’re seeking sustainable alternatives for key materials and using less water and waste in our packaging—and this is just the beginning. We want those who come after us to have the freedom to explore the outdoors tomorrow, so we’re reducing our footprint today.

The Tirra from Teva is the perfect sandal for outdoor adventures. It features a quick-dry upper with a foam and stretch mesh lining for comfort. A spongy footbed cushions every step and absorbs shock, and a patterned rubber outsole offers traction and durability. Plus three hook-and-loop straps allow for a perfect fit.
